At the clinic we are committed to helping patients at what can be a very anxious, and exciting, time by providing straightforward advice and a sensitive approach to some very personal decisions.
A number of techniques are available for this type of gender confirmation surgery and it is important to discuss your options with your surgeon before making any decisions.
Breast augmentation and implants can enhance the appearance of your breasts and form an important part of gender-confirming/reassignment surgery.
In February 2018 I relocated my practice to Mount Stuart Hospital, Torquay.
As of January 31 2018 I completed the number of surgical cases allotted to me by the NHS contract for 2017/18.
This contract is held by Nuffield Health Brighton Hospital and all referrals to me at that address are now being held by Nuffield Health or by their representative.
Patients who have not received a date for surgery with myself in January 2018 will therefore not receive their surgery under my care, as Nuffield Health Brighton Hospital will retain their referral and allocate them to another surgeon and/or another Nuffield Hospital (Plymouth).
I have requested that Nuffield Health Brighton Hospital make patients aware of this and that they also have the right to request their referral to be redirected to another surgeon and/or provider.
I understand Nuffield health will be sending patients a pro forma with three options:
1. remain at Nuffield Brighton
2. be transferred to Nuffield Plymouth or
3. have your referral returned to your original gender identity clinic.
If you wish for a surgeon other than at these two Nuffield sites or indeed another hospital site you will need to select the “return my referral to my general identity clinic” option.
My (01273) 621144 telephone number will be redirected to my new secretary Nicky who can also be contacted direct on (01803) 321631. My email address remains email@example.com.
I look forward to continuing to provide an efficient and high quality service to the transgender community.
